The Sanctuary (of roses, love and loathing) an installation by local artistTania Maria Mastroianni’s, is a ritualistic and holy place, essentially a shrine. A whimsical but slightly morbid ex-votive. The Nancye Dryden Collection of South East Asian Textiles features richly woven naturally dyed textiles bequeathed to the Gallery by local collector Nancye Dryden. The Mann-Tatlow Collection of Asian Art, celebrates ten years of the collection which includes Asian ceramics, objects and items of furniture from the Neolithic Period to the early twentieth century. Make it...Sew! is an interactive education based exhibition explore sassemblage works from the Gallery’s collection and helps create a city of the future, with an interactive sculpture designed by local artist Kate Stehr. ARTEXPRESS is a selection of outstanding works by 2013 higher school certificate visual arts students from NSW schools, and is on display until July 13.
