The festival parade starts off the day with the wonderful and imaginative floats carrying Ulladulla’s beautiful princesses. This is followed by the traditional blessing of the Ulladulla fishing fleet. There will be entertainment and fun activities all afternoon. Browse the many stalls and exhibitions that will surround the Civic Centre area and you won’t go hungry if you visit the food court on the grass or the eateries in the main street. This wonderful family fun filled day will finish with the circus and then the spectacular fireworks. For more information on the day see the website www.blessingofthefleet.info Mollymook Beach Reserve is the place to be on Australia Day as the region celebrates the proud past and bright future of the district. Hosted by the Ulladulla Milton Lions Club and sponsored by Shoalhaven City Council, activities start at 9am on Thursday, January 26, 2017 and conclude at 2.30pm. Entry to the event is free. Throughout the day local musicians will entertain the crowd, including performances by each of the eight finalists competing for the Youth Music Scholarship with prizes totalling $3500. This scholarship is sponsored by the Milton Ulladulla Times. A flag raising ceremony will be conducted by Ulladulla High School’s captains. Floats and festivity Celebrate nation’s day The Australia Day celebrations at Mollymook Beach are great fun for young and old. Ulladulla’s Blessing of the Fleet Festival parade starts off the celebratory event on Easter Sunday.
