Berry www.southcoastleisuretimes.com.au South Coast 21 giant antiques & collectables fair for all The weekend of September 19 & 20 will see the Berry School of Arts transformed into an impressive showcase of antiques when around 20 dealers from all around the country combine for the Berry Antiques & Collectables Fair. Organised by antiques dealer Mick Dalton, this event has become a great draw card for collectors both serious and novice alike. Traditionally the aim of a fair is to cater to all tastes and incomes, presenting items from the smallest thimble to a grand Victorian chest. Prices are competitive and the range of items for sale is enormous, enabling cust omers t o view many different dealers all together under one roof. Georgian and Victorian jewellery, English and European porcelain, silver, glass, linen, lamps, collectables and furniture, both rustic and traditional will be displayed with great care and pride with the dealers themselves endeavouring to supply as much information as possible to help the collect or. The Berry Antiques Fair is open to the public from 10am until 5pm on Saturday 19 and from 10am until 4pm on Sunday 20. Admission is $9 for adults and includes a lucky door prize ticket. Accompanied children are free. The School of Arts is situated in Alexandra St Berry, just near the showground. Plenty of parking available nearby and there is wheelchair access into the hall. On Friday, December 4, Madman Entertainment will screen films at Fairgrounds’ Cinema Under the Stars. Saturday, an eclectic mix of local and international artists will perform a world of folk, indie rock, soul and everything in between.The festival site will be dotted with field games and a kids’ area, creating a wonderland of activities for all to enjoy. Make a weekend of new tastes and discoveries and enjoy the activities that frame the festival.
