Nowra www.southcoastleisuretimes.com.au South Coast 27 meroogal women’s art prize 2014 Sydney Living Museums is proud to launch the 2014 Meroogal Women’s Art Prize at Meroogal, a 19th century house museum in the heart of Nowra. Women artists from across NSW have created artworks inspired by the history, stories and objects from Meroogal, which was home to four generations of frugal and lively women. Selected works will be on display from 20 September 2014 – 25 January 2015, throwing new light on the stories of people who lived and worked at Meroogal and the home’s rich history. Inspired by the MeroogalWomen’s Art Prize, children will work with local artists, use mixed media and recycled materials to create their own artworks.
